The Centre is committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and learner-centred environment that enables all students to achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. A range of support services are available throughout the programme to help learners succeed in their studies, develop essential skills, maintain wellbeing, and prepare for future progression opportunities.

Students are encouraged to seek support whenever required and to actively engage with the services available.


Academic Support

Academic support is available to help students achieve their full academic potential throughout the programme.

Academic Support

Academic Support Includes:
  • Subject-specific academic guidance.
  • Assessment and assignment support.
  • Study skills development.
  • Research and referencing guidance.
  • Assessment preparation workshops.
  • Revision and examination support.
  • Academic progress monitoring.

The Programme Team regularly reviews learner progress and provides appropriate academic interventions where required.


Personal Tutoring

Each student is assigned a Personal Tutor who acts as a first point of contact throughout the programme.

Personal Tutors provide:
  • Academic advice and guidance.
  • Progress monitoring and feedback.
  • Support with goal setting and academic planning.
  • Signposting to specialist support services.
  • Assistance with personal and academic challenges affecting studies.
Note: Regular meetings may be arranged to discuss academic progress, wellbeing, attendance, and progression plans.

Learning Support Services

The Centre is committed to ensuring that all students have access to appropriate learning support to enable successful participation in their studies.

Learning Support May Include:
  • Additional academic support sessions.
  • Study skills workshops.
  • Learning resource guidance.
  • Time management and organisational skills development.
  • Assistance with academic writing and research skills.
  • Reasonable adjustments where appropriate.
Note: Students requiring additional support are encouraged to contact Academic Affairs or Student Support Services at the earliest opportunity.

Career Guidance

Career development forms an important part of the student experience and supports progression to higher education and employment.

Career Support Includes:
  • Career planning guidance.
  • CV and résumé development workshops.
  • LinkedIn profile development.
  • Interview preparation.
  • Employability skills training.
  • Progression advice for university applications.
  • Career-focused guest speaker sessions.
Note: Students are encouraged to engage with career development activities from the beginning of the programme.

Student Welfare Services

The Student Welfare Team provides guidance and support to students experiencing personal, financial, social, or practical challenges that may impact their studies.

Student Welfare Support Includes:
  • General student advice and guidance.
  • Assistance with personal matters affecting study.
  • Financial guidance and referral support.
  • Student engagement and inclusion initiatives.
  • Crisis and emergency support where required.
Note: The Centre aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners.

International Student Support

The Centre welcomes learners from diverse cultural and international backgrounds and is committed to supporting their successful transition to study in the UAE.

International Student Support

International Student Support Includes:
  • Admissions and enrolment guidance.
  • Orientation and induction activities.
  • Visa and documentation guidance (where applicable).
  • Cultural adjustment support.
  • Academic transition support.
  • Access to student support and wellbeing services.
