What is a BTEC qualification?
BTEC qualifications are globally recognised, vocational qualifications developed by Pearson. Unlike A Levels, BTEC qualifications are assessed continuously through assignments, projects and portfolios — not traditional exams. This approach develops both the knowledge and the practical skills that universities and employers value.
BTEC International Level 3 is equivalent to up to 3 A Levels, and is accepted by universities and higher-education institutions worldwide for entry to relevant degree programmes. Over 100,000 BTEC learners apply to university every year.
