Entry Requirements
To be considered for the Extended Diploma in Business or Information Technology, applicants must meet at least one of the following academic criteria:
- A minimum aggregate of 55% in CBSE Grade X, Cambridge O Level, or an equivalent secondary school qualification. Preferred subjects include Sciences, Mathematics, Commerce or Technical subjects depending on the chosen programme.
- Successful completion of a UAE national qualification at Level 5 or above, as recognised by the Ministry of Education.
- Applicants who do not fully meet these academic criteria but hold relevant professional experience or alternative qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Admissions Panel
💡 Mature Applicants (aged 21+): Applicants aged 21 or over who do not hold standard entry qualifications may be considered via the mature entry route. Please contact our Admissions team to discuss your individual circumstances.
How to Apply — 6-Step Process
1. Choose Your Programme
Browse the Business and IT Extended Diploma pages and select the programme that best aligns with your interests and career ambitions. Contact Student Services if you need guidance.
2. Submit Your Application Form
Complete the online application form at pearsonbtecuae.ac.ae or request a paper copy from our Student Services office. Ensure all fields are completed accurately.
3. Provide Supporting Documents
Upload or courier certified copies of your academic transcripts, passport copy, passport-size photograph, personal statement and any additional documents requested.
4. Interview / Assessment
Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an in-person or virtual interview, or an English proficiency assessment, depending on their academic background and chosen programme.
5. Receive Your Offer Letter
Successful applicants will receive a formal offer letter from our centre within 10 working days of completing the assessment stage.
6. Confirm Your Place & Pay Fees
Accept your offer by the stated deadline and pay the applicable registration fee to confirm your enrolment. Visa assistance and accommodation support can then begin.
Required Documents Checklist
- Completed application form (online or paper)
- Certified copy of passport — valid for at least six months beyond intended start date
- Recent passport-size photograph against a plain white background (taken within last 3 months)
- Certified copies of all academic certificates and transcripts
- Personal statement (300–500 words) explaining your motivation for the chosen programme
- Two academic or professional references
- English language proficiency evidence (if applicable)
- Proof of visa status / Emirates ID (for UAE residents)
